    Calculating Your Birth Card Manually

How to work out someone’s Birth Card using just their birthday—no chart needed.

Once you understand the method, you can figure out any Birth Card quickly and easily.

It’s not anything mystical—it’s simply a system of moving step by step through the fixed order of the 52 cards, known as the Grand Solar Spread.

Step 1 — Know the Starting Card

Cardology treats January 1 as the starting point, which corresponds to the King of Diamonds.

From there, the cards move forward one position per day through the deck sequence.

    So:

    • Jan 1 → King of Diamonds
    • Jan 2 → Ace of Clubs
    • Jan 3 → Two of Clubs
    • Jan 4 → Three of Clubs
    • Jan 5 → Four of Clubs

    and so on.

Every new day simply moves one card forward in the spread.

Step 2 — Convert the Birthday to a “Day Number”

Next, determine the day of the year for the birthday.

    Example:

    • Jan 1 → Day 1
    • Jan 31 → Day 31
    • Feb 1 → Day 32
    • Mar 1 → Day 60 (in a non-leap year)

So, if someone is born on March 10, that’s usually day 69 of the year.

Step 3 — Count Through the Deck

Once you know the day number, you move that many positions from King of Diamonds through the 52-card sequence.

Because there are 52 cards, the sequence loops.

So, if the number is larger than 52, you subtract 52 until the number fits within the deck.

    Example:

    Day 69

    69 − 52 = 17

So, the person’s birth card is the 17th card in the spread.

Step 4 — Use the Card Order

The deck moves through the suits in the Grand Solar Spread order.

The beginning of the sequence looks like this:

    Position

    Card

    1

    King of Diamonds

    2

    Ace of Clubs

    3

    Two of Clubs

    4

    Three of Clubs

    5

    Four of Clubs

    6

    Five of Clubs

    7

    Six of Clubs

    8

    Seven of Clubs

    9

    Eight of Clubs

    10

    Nine of Clubs

    11

    Ten of Clubs

    12

    Jack of Clubs

    13

    Queen of Clubs

    14

    King of Clubs

The sequence then continues into Hearts, Spades, and Diamonds.

    Quick Example

    Let’s try February 14.

    1. Feb 14 is the 45th day of the year.
    2. Move 45 positions through the spread.
    3. The 45th position corresponds to Ace of Hearts.

So, the Birth Card for Feb 14 is Ace of Hearts.

    An Analog

Imagine the 52 cards as squares on a circular board.

    • Jan 1 starts on square King of Diamonds.
    • Each day you move one square forward.
    • When you pass square 52, the board loops back to the start.

Your birthday simply marks which square you landed on.
