    Wuku Galungan is the designation of one of the wuku in the Penanggalan Pawukon system that is observed in Java. In Bali, it is referred to as Wuku Dungulan. 

    The term "Galungan" originates from Old Javanese, signifying "to fight," while "dungulan" translates to "to win."

    The name Wuku Galungan or Dungulan is derived from Raden Galungan or Dungulan, the ninth child of Prabu Watugunung and Dewi Sinta. His twin is Raden Kuningan.

    According to Javanese belief, when a woman is pregnant for the first time and a celebration is held at the seventh month of gestation (known as mitoni), an ivory coconut adorned with images of Kamajaya and Kamaratih is presented, with the hope of receiving their blessings.
